Certificate of protection; 1798. Printed form of surrender with appended text of Oath of Allegiance. With gaps in which to write the name, parish, county, etc. of any person who has surrendered, guaranteeing that "this person and his property may not in any wise be molested". The oath to be taken is on the bottom of the certificate.;
