seal / King (England)

Document mounted on a card, with relics attached to reverse, stating that one is a fragment from the last garter of the King, one is a piece of the waistcoat he died in, and some of his hair. Also, instructions that the owner is never to part with it. Two seals - one at top with two lions rampant on either side of a crest crowned and the legend "Fortis Sub Forte Fatiscet". Second one at bottom of document with a dragon surmounted by a lion and crowned. Signed "V.J.B.". Circa 17th / 18th century.;
