Banner of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (Irish American Alliance), about 1910. Poplin cloth. On one side the harp between sprays of shamrock beneath 'A.O.H.' (all painted) over a ribbon of satin applique on which is painted CLAN-NA-GAEL. This ribbon is covering an earlier painting on the cloth. Beneath this is painted DIV.NO.86. On the other side is an emerald green field painted around above is "Irish American Alliance". In the centre, on a gold satin applique shield with a design of crossed flags - on the left green flag with a harp in the centre, and on the right a flag of stars and stripes - on which is a cartouche showing clasped hands beneath a scene of sun rising between two mountains and over a harp between sprays of shamrock on a red field.;
