Wicklow Regiment (Militia) medal 1797. Diestruck in silver by William Mossop (1751-1805). Obverse: within a husk border, across (WESTMEATH) GRAND JURY TO THE WICKLOW REGT SEPTEMBER MDCCXCVII. Reverse: within crossed laurel sprays tied with a triple loop, a crown, and below, across REWARD OF LOYALTY. Beneath the knot MOSSOP. With raised edge on both sides and pierced at the top for suspension. Engraved at either side of the crown the initials I and M. Inscribed on the rim IOHN MAHON.;
