Officer's tunic of the Connaught Rangers, about 1900. Red faced white. Eight buttons showing the harp crowned within a shamrock wreath and over a scroll bearing the motto QUIS SEPARABIT. Buttons made by Pitt & Co., 31 Maddox Street, London W.1. On either side of the collar a silver elephant. Piping, epaulettes and collar border with a repeated shamrock motif are in gold thread. Each epaulette has a smaller button and four pointed embroidered star. Maker's label inside collar reads T. McBride & Sons, 56 Pall Mall, London S.W. and 28 The Common, Woolich.;
