Bugle won by the Irish Citizen Army in 1915 Drill Display. Bugle, brass, with bronze plating, and mounted in brass. British Army infantry pattern. Maker's name punched on front - 'GB/Butler/Haymarket/London/&/Dublin.' Applied above the maker's name is a silver shield with inscription - '1st Prize / Drill Display / Father Mathew Park / Augt. 22nd, 1915 / Winners / Irish Citizen Army'. This bugle was given to Eamon de Valera by brother J. McCann, T.D. Mr. McCann's brother received it from Dr. Lawerence Moran who got it from the British provost-marshal in charge of the surrendered Irish forces at the Rotunda Gardens, Dublin, after the Rising.;
