Cream-colour jug, probably Liverpool, about 1800. Baluster-shape cream-colour earthenware jug; strap handle, pointed spout. Transfer-print, black, on front of roses; on one face with a map of Ireland under a ribbon 'Prosperity to Ireland', on the other face with colourful cartouches around a yeoman in red coat with busby hat, mounted on a brown horse; green ground. Underneath is the legend 'City of Waterford Cavalry Capt. James Kearney'. James Kearney was Captain of the Waterford Cavalry from 1796 - 1807. This was restored before acquisition.;
