Tricolour flag in silk, bearing official stamp of the Byrd Antartic Expedition (1928-1930), which reached the South Pole. Given by a member of the Expedition, Captain Charles John McGuinness, to Mr. Frank Walsh, U.S.A. who sent it to An Taoiseach Eamon de Valera who presented it to the National Museum.;
