Private Edmund Francis Hogan, 1916

Letter sent 25th October 1916 stating that Private Edmund Francis Hogan has been missing since 6th September 1916. The letter is in a reply to a letter sent by Hogan's father asking could he be a POW. War Office letter replies lists are sent to Germany monthly to all camps and hospitals and that individual letters can not be sent. Hogan is referred to as a Lance Corporal in that letter by War Office.;
