Irish Volunteers Belt. Worn by T.F. Gill throughout World War I and bearing as souvenir badges etc. Derbyshire, Australian Commonwealth Military Forces, Gordon Highlanders, Grenadier Button, Middlesex Regiment, two Canadian buttons, Royal Irish Dragoon Guards, a crown, London Irish button, Grenadier button, RAMC Royal Army Medical Corps badge, KRR (King's Royal Rifles) Northumberland button, two CAMEROON flashes, an Artillery button, a London Irish Rifles button, T23 LONDON and an artillery button. With this is a card on which donor has written 'Owner of this belt answered John E. Redmond's call to fight for "Freedom of Small Nations" in 1915. He wore belt through war until demobilised in 1919. The buttons and badges are souvenirs. Total of 23 badges currently attached, one badge missing.;
