On obverse: cross with symbols of the Four Evangelists and decoration in Celtic design; reverse: inscription - do Éibhlin NicGiolla Pádraig ó dhuine i mbraighdeanas i gCampa i nDroichead Nuadh MCMXXIII. On edge, inscription - 23952 Pte. G. Hughes. R. Ir. Fus. The medal was made from a General War Services (World War I) medal originally awarded to Mr. Hughes.;
