Photograph of Liam Mellows and Dr Patrick McCartan, head and shoulders, front faces, wearing hats. Both disguised; Mellows wears a moustache. The photograph was probably taken in the aftermath of the 1916 Rising when both Mellows and McCartan were on the run, with Mellows escaping to America in about October 1916 disguised as a seaman. Other sources suggest the photograph was taken in October 1917. Measures circa 8.6 by 6.5 inches.;
