commemorative handkerchief / 'Who Fears to Speak of '98?', 1898

Handkerchief printed in 1898 for Centenary of 1798. White silk with printed design containing views of New Ross, Wexford, Enniscorthy, the old Irish House of Parliament, portraits of Theobald Wolfe Tone, Henry Joy McCracken, Daniel O'Connell, Robert Emmet, and Lord Edward Fitzgerald; also inscribed "Who Fears to Speak of '98?", "Centenary '98" and "1798 - 1898" on ribands, and verse "The Star of the West shall still rise in it's glory, And the Land that was darkest be brightest in story, I too shall be gone but my name shall be spoken, When Erin awakes and her fetters are broken", at bottom.;
