Side drum of the Myroe Infantry. Painted with 'GR' with motto around, all crowned. Derry, 19th century. Drum, brass, with wooden ends; one side painted with monogram G.R. and III within a garter inscribed MYROE INFANTRY beneath a crown and with flags, pike-heads, bugles, helmet and other military trophies as supporters; cords and leather strips for tightening sheepskin; small bits only of latter remain. Irish Volunteers, late 18th century.;
