Political cartoon, supplement to the United Ireland, 14 May 1887. Titled 'Truth Prevails'. The Irish Bayard lifts the gauntlet . The Tory Craven turns and flees. Colour print in red, blue and black on newsprint depicting the 'Irish Bayard' and 'Tory Craven' - as two knights, typical of English medieval myth. The Irish Knight stands fast while the 'Tory' flees. A broken gauntlet and shield reading 'The Tmes' lie at the feet of the Irish Horse, while he carries a glove on his gauntlet which reads 'Parliamentary Investigation'. By J.D. Reigh.;
