Double action Smith and Wesson Revolver, about 1906. Used by Cathal Brugha, 1916. Fixed foresight with sighting ridge on strap of six chamber cylinder. Locking notches on side of cylinder. Checked collar on ejection rod head. Checked thumb grip on hammer. Timber checked grips at Lanyard swivel. Inscribed as above. Also on left side of barrel "Smith and Wesson, .455", and "SW" intertwined in curve with "Trade" above and "Mark" below, "SW" intertwined in brass escutcheons on either side of grip, and "58354" on cylinder and "2406" on inside of frame. Proof marks on cylinder and on left side of frame to front of cylinder and above grip. In home made leather holster.;
