jacket / Irish Volunteers, Limerick City Brigade

Uniform worn by G. Clancy as Adjutant, 1st Battalion, Limerick City Brigade. Comprising: Jacket - green cloth, four patch pockets, button on each, four buttons down front, dark green epaulettes, button on each (all buttons inscribed with harp and 'I.V.'). Brass wire belt supports. No maker's name. Breeches - green cloth, riding breeches, plain; brown laces. Cap - green cloth, piped dark green cord and band; black leather band (two plain gilt buttons) and peak; with Limerick Brigade badge. Badge - in centre front of cap: Treaty Stone on crossed axes and Cuimhnighidh ar Luimnigh. Tricolour behind. Plain leather belt, brass buckle and leather sporran and a smaller leather strap.;
