Automatic Mauser pistol, about 1910. Owned by Eamon de Valera. Mauser pistol with wooden holster, owned by Eamon de Valera but used by Michael Malone in Haddington Raod, 1916.
Fixed foresight and graduated rear sight. Milled grips to back of slide. Milled thumb grip on hammer. Milled timber grip fitted with lanyard swivel. Inscribed 'WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/OBERNDORF A. NECKER' on right side of frame. 'WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N' on top of barrel. 83149 on left side of barrel and to rear of the frame and grip. Proof marks on left and underside of barrel and on slide. Complete with detachable timber stock which can be utilised as a holster.;
