Handwrittten letter from W.C. Angus, a Scottish Radical to Charles Stuart Parnell, dated 1882. Addressed to Parnell at Kimainham Gaol, from an address at 159 Queen Street, Glasgow, January 10, 1882. He sympathises with the motives of Parnell and the Irish Party and encloses a series of resolutions drawn up by an English friend. No heading and no signature. Contains a series of resolutions on the Irish question which are condemnatory of England's position and attitude to the Irish throughout the 19th century. No indication of identity of writer. Stated in the covering letter that a copy of resolutions were sent to the Irish newspapers. the letter and enclosure contained in a registered envelope, posted in Glasgow, addressed Charles Stuart Parnell, Esq., M.P., Kilmainham Jail, Ireland. Endorsed in another hand: "Detained Letter addressed C.S. Parnell." On front, another hand: "Not Passed. Political. M.P. informed J.R (?) G. 12/1/82.";
