Match box and matches, Irish c. 1860. Found in the wall of an old house in Mill Street, Tullow, Co. Carlow. Box made of wood, covered yellow paper, printed black: "Erin's matches and seated figure of Hibernia", 'Erin's Match Hibernia' and harp, and "the match for Erin" and shamrocks and harp. 2.75 inches x 2.5 inches x 1.3 inches. Tray of wood covered purple tissue. Contents: 25 red-headed matches.;
