Grand Canal Co. Square wooden ballot box, said to have been used by the Directors of the Grand Canal Company. Circular opening in front with drawer underneath. The drawer has a lock but no key. Size 8 inches by 8 inches. The Grand Canal Company was established in 1772 to handle the issue of how to fund and enable the canal to navigate through the Bog of Allen.;
