breeches / Irish National Foresters, 1880

Breeches, cream coloured, with buttoned front section with lace ties at the ankles. Irish National Foresters Uniform, c. 1880. Made by local tailor comprising tail coat (green faced white edged gold with three bars of gold lace across each lapel), white and button waistcoat, breeches. Cloth epaullettes, white edged gold with gold thread fringe. Two domed brass buttons, showing a main of Erin Harp within a wreath of shamrocks on either side in front and on either side at tails behind.;
