Masonic Orphan School Medal. REV: blank. OBV: on a raised border around 'Masonic Orphan Schools Dublin', with a treble trefoil at the terminal. Within, a seated female figure holding a naked baby on her lap with her left arm, her right resting on the shoulder of a standing female child who is holding a book and behind whom is a cruciform topped staff. To right, a nude male child holding a book in his left arm, his right reaching for a key over his head. Behind him, a box and a spade. Silver 1 inch diam. surrmounted by triangular arch out of which is a loop for suspension. Out of the loop, a ring at the end of a length of blue ribbon. Signed under the ridge marking the exergue JW for John Woodhouse. A Masonic Orphan School prize medal, c. 1885.;
