Silver card case, ‘HM’ monogrammed on the front. On the inside is inscribed ‘Mr. Harry Mitchelson With best wishes. From the Proprietor & Staff of the Bohemian Picture Theatre, Dublin. Sept. 11th 1915’. Birmingham hallmarks. The Bohemian Picture Theatre was a cinema in Phibsborough. Harry Mitchelson was born at Fulford Barracks, York, England to John Henry Mitchelson of England, an Army Pensioner late Clr. Serjt. of the West Yorkshire Regiment, and Mary Mitchelson of Cork. In 1911 the family of three are living in 7 Roden Place, Dundalk, Co. Louth, where 16 year old Harry is listed as being a cinemonograph operator. Having enlisted in the British Army in September 1915, he was a Private in the 1st Battalion of the West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own), service number 22290. He is listed on the Commonwealth War Graves as having died of wounds on 11 December 1916, aged 22, and is buried at Leeds (Lawnswood) Cemetary. Connected to Serre, Somme, France.;
