1914 Christmas Issue box of chocolates issued to Lance Corporal Patrick Breen of the 8th Battalion, Royal Dublin Fusiliers, Number 14265, died 27 April 1916. Patrick Breen died aged 21 a month before his sister was born. He had left full time employment to enlist. The local priest had urged them to join from the alter. Although his mother received his pension she refused any help from the British Legion etc.;
