Locomotive No. 1, built by Sharp Brothers, Manchester, 1850. Line opened 1850. The company ownded only three locomotives in the period 1850-1900. Cylinders - 12" x 18". Driving wheels - 5'. Wheelbase - 12' 8". The cab is a later addition.
