badge / 1798 Centenary

1798 Rebellion commemoration, 1898. Two badges, cloth. (1): badge made of rat tail braid in two colours, green and yellow. Centre a circle of green braid with figures 98 in yellow braid stitched on; around this green and yellow braid twisted in form of four open work shamrocks; two tassels suspended below, one green, the other yellow. Overall all size 2.5 in square. (2): Similar badge. Both badges worn by donor and his father in the 1798 Insurrection centenary commemorative precession held in Dublin in 1898.;
