Grand Cordon of the Republic of Italy. Star of gold, crowned, with a white enamel cross with a gold star in the centre. Surrounded by four Italian Eagles. On a ribbon sash of light blue and red. Small cross attached to ribbon about half way up the lenght of the ribbon. Presented to Sean T. O Ceallaigh during his visit to Rome in 1957.;
