Daniel O'Connell Centenary rosette and medal. Rosette: 4 inches in diameter in green silk in seven frilled circles with a gilt circular button in the centre out of which hangs two metal thread tassells. The medal is suspended from a black pin by 1.5 x 4 inches plain green silk ribbon. White metal medal 1.3 inches in diameter. Obv: O'Connell's head in high relief looking to right. Around on left 'Daniel O'Connell M.P.'. Around on right 'Born August 6th 1775 Died May 1847'. Rev: Hill, round tower, two Celtic crosses, a hound and a harp with a rising sun in the background. Across above, 'Catholic Emancipation Repeal'. In exerque across, 'Centenary 1875' within a raised rim on both sides.;
