Frost and family of twelve young children, outside the wooden hut erected for their shelter on the holding of his rack-rented neighbour Mr Solomon Frost, Rossmanagher, Six Mile Bridge, Co. Clare. Mr John P. Frost was evicted for the non-payment of an impossible rent of £117.10.0 for 33 acres of land (no abatement ever granted) and his homestead and farm offices (a property created by John P. Frost and his late father), and valued at £400.0.0, were demolished on 10 October 1887 by the landlord Mr H.V. D’Estere of Rosmanagher, Co. Clare, and Bournemouth.;
