Card box with sliding lid, handcarved of bone. Painted inserts with glass type covers, depicting ladies and gentlemen in Regency style dress. Probably containing set of cards and dominoes made of bone pieces, painted. Made by French prisoners of war during the Napoleonic Wars, c. 1803-1815. Lid jammed shut. Piece of bone broken off one side and not found. Two legs missing from one side.;
