commemorative jug / Robert Armstrong Belfast 1793

Jug, cream coloured pottery. Barrel shaped body with expanding top and base. Plain handle and spout. Decorated on each side with two transfer prints in black, pastoral scenes - a lady seated holding a bow in left hand, two wolfhounds beside her and a landscape with a bridge, figures and trees. 'ROBERT ARMSTRONG BELFAST 1793' is perinted underneath the spout. Probably made in Leeds.;
