Portion of a letter to Kevin Barry. Portions of a letter card bearing the address of Gerrard Barry Esq., Mountjoy Prision, Dublin. The portions bear the post mark of Navan dated the 12th October 1920 and the initials of the Governor of the Prison, dated 13.10.'20. They were picked up from the floor of the condemned cell D.I. Wing Mountjoy Prison, Dublin by a warder and the Donor after the execution of Kevin Barry and four days before the execution of the six men on the morning of the 14th March 1921 when preparations were being made for their execution. The donor was then a prisoner. The donor ascertained that Kevin Barry was known to some of his class mates at the University as Gerrard. (Kevin Barry's initials were K.G.) Kevin Barry was executed Nov. 1 1920.;
