commemorative plate / Hugh Bourne, 1852

Fluted dish. Glazed white earthenware oval dish with shaped scalloped sides. Gilded rim. Oval foot underneath. Transfer print in ochre of figure in dress of circa 1809, named underneath Hugh Bourne. Born April 3rd, 1772, Died Oct. 11, 1852. Hugh Bourne wass the founder of the primitive Methodists in Scotland and travelled in Scotland, Ireland and America after 1810.;
