sewing roll / Lord Edward Fitzgerald / Leinster Family

A sewing roll made of a length of silk brocade of a pattern woven in Dublin in the 1770s; consisting of a long pocket with lines of stitching on the interior of the roll, two small flaps of wool flannel hand stitched to the inside with three needles attached; the edges of the roll bound in pink silk with ribbon ties at one end. Part of the contents of a small green purse of wallet belonging to or relating to Lord Edward Fitzgerald. The green purse and its contents were bequeathed to Lady Campbell in 1851.;
