commemorative medal / Charles Stewart Parnell, 1891

Silver Ireland’s Army of Independence Medal c.1891. Around the edge of the obverse a spray of maple leaves and shamrock. On the centre an effigy of Charles Stuart Parnell within a circlet bearing the legend Ireland’s Army of Independence Medal 1891. The reverse has the following inscription Let my Love be Conveyed to my Colleagues and the Irish People. The medal is suspended from a green ribbon affixed to a white metal bar bearing the inscription Ireland A Nation.;
