Metal army supply cup, German made. Engraved and decorated as German Prisoner of War Art at Templemore Prisoner of War Camp, Ireland, World War I, by Max Schmidt, dated 1914 (probably around October). Three other names inscribed - H. Strubing, R. Balzke and Fritz Girnt. Front with a pair of antlers with a cross in between, with '1914 3C', '1/4L', 'J.B.10', and 'Fritz Girnt'. Four leaved clover in either side. Sides inscribed 'Gedenkzeit an Funley' (?) and 'Gedenkzeit an Templemore'. Back inscribed 'Max Schmidt' on lower, 'JB.10.K4' on top, with a depiction of what appears to be a church in the centre, surrounded on either side by sprays of foliage. The base is inscribed 'Max Schmidt verewicht mit Eliese Keller'. Made by Wilheim Berg of Lüdenscheid, Germany.;
