Cap, 69th Regiment, New York Volunteers, Veteran Corp, c.1870s. Dark blue felt military cap with a leather peak and metal thread embroidered emblem "69 VC" at centre front. The cap has a leather head band and is lined with black silk or satin. Maker's gold stamp is at the crown.
