Maguire states himself to be born in Fermanagh, Ireland, resident in Cadiz, and the legitimate son of Roderigo and Cathalina Drummond, both deceased. Pair of handcuffs, iron. Royal Irish Constabulary. Hinged at centre of lower part and also at side of upper 76 stamped on outside of upper part and 2 on lower. Probably Royal Irish Constabulary, 19th century. Found near Christchurch Cathedral.

 

rock / Fenian escape, Manchester, 1867

Stone object. Inscribed "This stone was the one used to break into the prison van during the Fenian Outrage in Manchester when Sergeant Charles Brett was shot, September 18th, 1867." The stone was said to have been used in the prison yard break by Fenian escapees in Manchester.

Bantry boat / Bantry Bay. 1796

Longboat from the frigate "La Resolue" used by the French to come ashore at Bantry Bay in 1796. Kept in Bantry House until given to the National Museum of Ireland in 1944.
