Rebellion of 1798. Pass for a passage by sea from Dublin to Cork, issued to Michael Bermingham. Dated 24 July, 1798. Issued by Alderman William James, Dublin; authorised by Viscount Castlereagh. Printed form, particulars written on form intended for a Holyhead passage. Endorsed by James Green, Mayor of Youghal. Quarto sheet of paper, printed black and with cut of royal arms at head.
Dublin to Cork. Note that the vessel on which Bermingham sailed was ordered to sail within hail of the "Trump" man-of-war; fearing the attention of the French. This document is endorsed with an additional permit valid from Youghal to Cork, signed by the Mayor of Youghal, Aug. 13, 1798.;
