Pikehead made in Belmullet in 1918 by Charles Cawley blacksmith on the order of Michael MacHenry and Martin Moran, Irish Volunteers. One of 144 made by him. Said to have been mounted on scythe or shovel handles. Overall length 11". Plug type with 3.4 ins. shovel handles. Overall length 11". Plug type with 3.4 ins. tang, a knob and a smooth surfaced solid blade tapering to a point.;
