The Prisoners Biscuit, 1916. A biscuit of the kind given to prisoners in the Royal Dublin Society grounds in Ballsbridge and at Richmond Barracks, Easter 1916. The owner writes "they were so very hard that few of us could eat them". Given to Frank Murray at Richmond Barracks. At the time, he was 14 years of age and a member Fianna Éireann, A.Company, Camden Street. During the Rising of 1916 he was stationed first in the school at Mount Street Bridge, and later at Boland's Mill. After some weeks detention at Richmond Barracks, he was released by the British military, along with another 14 year old boy, being regarded as a 'misguided youth'.;
