Colt revolver / Maurice Walsh, Co. Kerry
Double action Colt revolver c. 1906, said to have belonged to Maurice Walsh of Cahirciveen, Co. Kerry and used by him in an attempted breakout from prison during the Irish Civil War.
Fixed fore sight with sighting ridge on strap of six chamber cylinder. 3 checked collars on ejector rod head under barrel. Locking notches on outside of cylinder. Black checked rubber grips with COLT in oval panel on top. Colt rampart on left side of frame. Grip fitted with lanyard swivel. Inscribed Colt's Pt FA MFG Co. Hartford CT USA/PAT'D Aug. 5 884 June 5 1900 July 4 1905 on top of barrel. Serial number 86656 Y on inside of frame. These proof marks on left side of frame.;
