A prison biscuit supplied to Peadar Bracken while a held as prisoner in Kilmainham Jail after the Rising of 1916. Biscuit bears the inscription 'P. Bracken Kilmainham Prison June 24th 1916'.

In January 1921 James Sloan and James Tormey of Westmeath, were killed at Ballykinlar for standing too close to the wire.
