Marching drum, Co. Galway, 1880s. Drum used in Land League protests during evictions in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, in the 1880s. Canvas skin torn during R.I.C. attack on Marchers. Passed on to donor from his grandfather. Diameter 80 cm x Depth 50cm.
