Full length portrait photograph of the donor J. Lynch in Irish Volunteer uniform with rifle, taken in 1919. Lynch was a member of the C.O., 3rd Batt., Dublin Brigade. Jacket was British Army tunic which Lynch had dyed in 1918, and adding the green facing on the cuffs and shoulder straps. This was also used in the taking of other photographs of Volunteers in 1919. The rifle in the photograph was issued, with a revolver, to Lynch by his company in 1917. It was handed back in 1920 when the Dublin Brigade rifles sent to country units. Photograph taken by Edwards of 1 Wellington Quay, Dublin. Photograph measures 5 by 3 inches.;
